Children love to learn about the world around them. Music is such a powerful link to our environment. Paloma Piano seeks to make the piano music published multi-educational. While students are learning to play a piece of music they can also learn about the history of the piece or what the piece is about. In this piece, students can play and explore “The Crooked Forest Piano Duet”.
Duets are so much fun for both students and teachers. Playing a duet with your students helps them with keeping a steady beat, phrasing, and musicality. This duet captures the flavor of Poland with its lively rhythm and romantic harmony.
This little duet is inspired by “The Crooked Forest” in Poland. Piano 1 can stand alone and can be played by a young beginning student. Piano 2 can be played by an early Intermediate student or the teacher.
The Crooked Forest is a grove of oddly shaped pine trees located outside Nowe Czarnowo, West Pomerania, Poland. This grove of approximately 100 pines was planted around 1930 when its location was still within the German province of Pomerania. Wikipedia
