Invention No. 1
Bach Invention No. 1 in C major is the first Invention I learned and the one I use to introduce these wonderful pieces to my students.
I have engraved and enlarged the score, making it easier to read and learn. It is part of our Intermediate Classics Collection.
I still follow the direction of my Suzuki teacher training and have my students learn this piece hands-separately with absolutely consistent fingering before playing hands together.
This piece should be played cleanly, with a steady tempo and no pedal.
