There are 5 Great Lakes, and I have arranged 5 traditional Native American songs.
I love the Great Lakes. I studied music at SUNY Fredonia in New York on the shores of Lake Erie. That is where I met my husband and his family, including my amazing nephews and niece, whose family on their father’s side has their roots in the Seneca Nation. I have always loved the beautiful music, lovely art, and interesting culture.
I grew up on Southern Long Island, close to the Atlantic Ocean. Like so many people, I have always been drawn to the beauty of the water. I now find myself living in Cleveland, Ohio, once again on the shores of beautiful Lake Erie.
These pieces are for advanced piano students.
