The Virgin Mary
The Virgin Mary is an arrangement of a traditional song called “The Virgin Mary Had a Baby Boy”. It appears in many Christian Hymnals. Its origin is from a West Indian traditional song written down from the singing of the Negro James Bryce in 1942 when Bryce was 92 years old. (Cambridge Hymnal, 1967) Reference
